MAMAHOOD

As a bit of a Hoody & Sweatshirt Addict I needed one of these in my life! Today is my birthday and for the last couple of weeks hubby has been asking me what I would like for my birthday? I honestly couldn’t think of anything … until Tuesday when I got an email from Kicks Count about the MAMAHOOD Hoodies from Little Dot.  As a bit of a Hoody & Sweatshirt Addict I needed one of these in my life! Teething Then Vs Now

Teething had always been around unlike some of the many products available today.  Lets have a look at some of the things used to help and sooth teething over the years … some are quite shocking! Did you know that for centuries people believed that teething caused childhood illness including infant death?   Infant mortality was especially high in children aged 6 months to 2 years of age, coincidentally the time of teething! Early solutions for teething would be considered barbaric by us today.  Did you know that they even applied leeches to the gum to help teeth through? Medicines used

New Regulations are being introduced towards the end of this year banning backless booster seats. At present children weighing 15kg (or around 3/4years) can travel in these seats however studies have shown that they do not meet sufficient requirements therefore the law is being changed.  In December 2016 only children weighing 22kg and being of 125cm tall (roughly 7/8 years) will be able to travel using one. As of December 2016, the UK Law will state: 1. That children must use a child car seat until they’re 12 years old or 135cm/4ft 5in tall, whichever comes first. 2. Safety experts

As a parent, if you allow your brain to wander into deep dark places, then you can create a pile of worst case scenario’s and drama’s. One of the worst of which, has to be Meningitis – it is just a word, but can strike fear as soon as it leaves a persons lips. I know first hand how being told your child has Meningitis feels, as those words left a doctors lips and hit my ears when he was just 7 weeks old. Thankfully he is absolutely fine and
